The next Elite Retreat will be held for the first time in New York City! The retreat will be a 2 day event on October 1st and 2nd, 2009.
The Elite Retreat is a very exclusive event, and sells out within days of opening registration. Jeremy “ShoeMoney” Schoemaker has been able to assemble the most sought after people in the industry to provide insight and help to those that attend. Some of this year’s leaders will be Chris Winfield of 10e20, Neil Patel of KISSMetrics, Aaron Wall of SEO Book, and Brian Norgard, of FOX Advertising. Keynote speakers of the ER have been great in the past, including Guy Kawasaki and Gary Vaynerchuk. This year the keynote will be none other than, New York Times Bestselling Author, Seth Godin.
The cost to attend is $4,995 per person, and although some may call it expensive, as someone who attended the last ER, I can only call it a bargain! Because they only take 35 participants, you essentially get one on one consulting with many industry leaders. They will take the time to look at your sites and business plan and give you advice. You can’t get that from reading people’s blogs or going to large conferences. I have a notebook of lessons learned and ideas to implement (still working on those!).
As always, Jeremy and Tigh pick some fabulous places for the conference and lodging location as well as the meals. You will be working and your mind will be racing all day long with everything you are learning, but you will also be treated like royalty so a fabulous vacation at the same time. It starts when you are picked up in a limo at the airport and continues until you leave. This year the event will take place at the unbelievable Hotel Gansevoort in the Meatpacking District of New York City. The hotel has one of a kind spaces for being in Manhattan, like a rooftop pool (which will be the location of the opening night party). Pics of the hotel can be viewed here.
There is another important benefit of Elite Retreat, that most people don’t realize. It is the networking and friendships you form with the other attendees, and the opportunity to learn from them. This never ends as all alumni of Elite Retreat are part of a group that meets weekly with presentations that are extremely beneficial. And the email list can get you quick answers from the other alumns saving you lots of research time. What is the value of this? Priceless. So, as I said at the beginning, when you add it all up, Elite Retreat is a bargain!

Bargain ?? .. ok , though expensive, i think its kind of big deal of the info and i think the best part may be the networking with the best friends you get in the business.
